Who We See

At Next Steps Children’s Therapy Ltd our practitioners use their wealth of experience and expertise to provide bespoke Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy assessment and treatment packages for children from preschool to early teenage years who have a variety of challenges. These could include:

  • Conditions such as cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders.
  • Muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular conditions.
  • Genetic conditions which have an impact on physical function e.g Down’s syndrome.
  • Motor co-ordination issues and poor balance, clumsiness, difficulties climbing, hopping, using cutlery, holding a pencil or getting dressed, eg doing buttons or zips.
  • Unusual gait pattern.
  • Dyspraxia (Development Coordination Disorder)
  • Lack of strength, poor posture, poor core stability or variable muscle tone.
  • Hypermobility.
  • Developmental delay.
  • Problems with handwriting and using scissors and rulers.

If you have a concern about your child and wish to know whether we can help, please do not hesitate to contact us for a chat. We accept referrals from Parents as well as teachers, GPs and consultants. Unfortunately at this time we are unable to see children who are under the care of Kent Community Health NHS Children’s therapy Service.
